The Fosi Audio C3 has been a great little DAC and headphone amplifier for both gaming and music. I’ve used it with my PS5 and connected it to my Xbox One through my TV’s optical output, and it worked well with both setups, providing plenty of volume without sounding harsh, thin or distorted.

I mainly use it with my Sennheiser HD 560S headphones, which sound clear, detailed and well separated through the C3. In games, footsteps, reloads and distant sounds are easy to pick out, making it useful for competitive play while still sounding natural with single-player games and atmospheric soundtracks.

Music also sounds clean and open, with enough detail to make familiar songs more engaging. The C3 provides plenty of power for the HD 560S without requiring extra equipment or a complicated setup.

USB, optical and Bluetooth connectivity add flexibility, while the simple front controls make it easy to adjust headphone and microphone volume during gaming sessions. Its compact, solid design also fits neatly on a desk or entertainment center. One limitation is that the feature set and controls are fairly basic, so users looking for advanced EQ, extensive customization or more detailed input monitoring may find it somewhat limited.

Overall, the Fosi Audio C3 is an excellent affordable option for anyone wanting one compact device that performs well for both gaming and music.

I didn't expect such a noticeable improvement from a small desktop device. The C3 made my entire setup sound cleaner and more focused, especially during competitive FPS matches.

Love the first so much I bought a second for my significant other

the product is great really improved my audio sense in the game however my only complaint is that the game that i usually play is CoD Warzone but its not included in the stepsense list of games. though i can still use a little advantage tweaking the equalizer. to the mods and tech guys for this c3 pls update the software asap that will include warzone. thank you.

I’m loving so far, it works great looks and feels great, I did notice the usb port in the back seems to be a little sensitive to movement so every time I went to pick it up and move it around the desk it would kill the connection very easily.

I use it for footsteps and for a louder audio. This actually does it.

Ok I kinda thought that this would make no noticeable difference to any of my perceived sound quality, but paired with a decent pair of in ear monitors I am sorta blown away by how clean everything sounds now.

Conpared to just my motherboards audio output this thing is phenomenal.

I like Fosi. they are innovative and the couple of products I have from them are solid. I love their multi output headphone amp, it lets me keep 5 of my favorite headphones ready for use and it sounds clean and is made of metal or at least feels like it. it is wonderful! this device however feels lighter than the smaller headphone amp. feels like less durable plastic. all that is fine if it does what it says it will do. which it does! kind of... I'm a counter strike player, and listening for small sounds like footsteps is crucial to winning games. this device promises to boost footstep frequencies in games like counterstrike 2, Valorant, Pubg, and delta force. I used this device to play counterstrike and the footsteps are very much boosted. what's also nice is you can adjust how much footstep boost you want to have. there is a small problem though. from the few games I've played, I can certainly say the footsteps were louder but their positional accuracy was worse. on my normal dac/amp combo, I can hear footsteps, approximately how far away they are, and roughly the exact position they are coming from. with the C3, on FPS mode, the footsteps were louder, but in many cases instead of me knowing how far away the person was, i just heard a very loud footstep coming from SOMEWHERE to the left. (or the right, I'm just using left in this example). so i'm sneaking around and to my left there is a LOUD FOOTSTEP! surely they must be right next to me getting ready to stab me right??? no. it was actually my teammate in an entirely different room stomping around. it sounded like it was 3 feet away from me, but in reality, to go find the source of the noise i would need to walk across the map for roughly 12-16 seconds before i got to where the noise came from. now this could be a software issue. i did update the firmware, but the issue did not seem top be fixed. its also not always the same. sometimes the distance is good, sometimes its not. in a game like counterstrike, your audio signals need to be dependable. so i actually turned off the loud footsteps and just used the 7.1 surround sound and even though the footsteps were quieter, i actually could hear much easier the approximate position of the footstep. I do think this may be something they can solve with updates, so I'm not knocking the device, because it has SO many other feature other than just StepSense. it needs updates, and maybe if i need to clutch a round, i'll swap pver to FPS mode just for the possibility of hearing louder footsteps even if their approximate distance is questionable. something else I noticed when trying stepsense in an offline workshop map just meant to shoot at bots that are walking around, there were quite a few times I would close my eyes, listen to where the footstep was coming from, and then open my eyes and turn to exactly where I heard the sound, and it would be wrong. a bot walked up to me from my back right, and I turn to the right, and they weren't there. they were completely behind me, 180 degrees from my starting position. it did not sound behind me, it sounded to the right. odd.

I use this with my planar headset with no problem powering my headset. With gaming on this device I could hear the footstep better.

Took a bit of experimentation but found the right IEMs to go with the dac. Now I can hear enemies steps effortlessly. Helped me won many games. Small form factor and powered by a single USB cable so it��s perfect for small desks. For $130, it packed a lot of goodies for gamers

I have what's called "bone hearing" which is a loss of hearing on one ear, and man do these help me with hearing on CS so much better. These with some Tipsy IEM, Golden!!!. I can pinpoint on the side I struggle with hearing.

Absolutely incredible DAC , love Fosi as a whole. Easy recommendation and excellent all round.
