Fosi Audio CA30 Auto-Verstärker

This amplifier for its size, it is amazing. I am currently running 4 x JBL Stadium CS62CF (110W RMS @ 3OHMS) and the amplifier is totally not stressing. The sound quality is very good and setup was a breeze. The clipping LED makes it more easier to setup using a standard 1000Hz signal.

This product looks and seems very worthy of being of one of the best amps for enthusiasts who want performance and clarity in their car wherever they go.

I purchased 2 of them for my Lexus. before i installed them I ended up putting both of them in my sons car on some cheaper DS-18 coaxial's. They sounded great. So I purchased 3 more for my car and installed them on some CDT component sets and they have a very old school class AB sound and clarity. They were small enough to put all 3 under the passenger seat. I wish they would build a 4 channel 800 watt version.

Setup: Goldhorn 810 pro rca to Fosi CA30 and Sony XM-1ES.

The sound is clean and nice. Unfortunately I found a rare compatibility issue that made me resold this nicely sound amp to a friend. My Sony XM-1ES is an overprotective subwoofer amp that will go into protect mode if it detect any abnormal in the power system. And making my Fosi CA30 and the Sony turn on via remote signal at the same time from my Goldhorn trigger exactly that protect mode.

Scenario:
1) Connect both Fosi and Sony remote and rca cable to Goldhorn then turn on. -> Sony go into protect mode.
2) Connect both Fosi and Sony remote cable to Goldhorn but leave out either RCA cable on Sony or Fosi -> turn on normally.
3) Connect both Fosi and Sony RCA normally but use time delay relay on Sony's remote signal so that Fosi turn on first, 2 seconds Sony turn on later -> both turn on fine. No protect mode on Sony.

So my only conclusion (especially from scenario 2) is that when turn on. Fosi send something (noise ground short or whatever) back through the RCA to the DSP. That ground are normally shared among all RCA ports so that made its way to Sony subwoofer amp and trigger protect mode. If Fosi turn on first, then Sony later. Then both works fine since Sony isn't doing its check right when Fosi send something to RCA ground. It's unfortunate. And I hope Fosi improve the turn on sequence to be cleaner later.

This replaced a very expensive Zapco 204dSQ amplifier that was rated at 150x4 rms. The sound quality is excellent and I have zero noise or turn on/off pops. I will say the potentiometers on the gains are very sensitive and dialing in the gain required what seems like millimeter adjustments and many people having issue with sound likely have the gain set wrong. Dynamic and Powerful and tiny with zero added noise. Who can ask for more? I can, turn this amp into a 600 watt Mono block next.

I was sceptical because of the low price but i learned a lesson after watching the detailed power Tests of the Fosi ca 30 on YouTube made by Audiokeller. He did a second video with a superb sound demo tested under same circumstances like older legendary class AB amplifiers and I was shocked 😳 I had to buy it and did not regret it - a bargain ! Well done Fosi , hope you will continue car audio amplifiers and produce a subwoofer amp 😊 fingers crossed!🤞

Small size fits in my dash making for a powerful hidden system!!!

I am currently using the CA30 4-channel amp in a 12v boombox build. It is powering an 8" Rockford Fosgate subwoofer, and 2 6.5" component speakers. It is being powered off of a 25ah LiFePO4 battery, and has an automotive BT receiver, and a 7 band EQ from Taramps. The component speakers are being ran off of channels 1 and 2, and I have channels 3 and 4 bridged for the subwoofer. It is all enclosed in a 1/2" MDF box that I made for it. The amp runs this combo very well. The 6.5" speakers take 80w RMS and 160w peak each. The sub takes 150w RMS and 300w peak. The speakers are very adequately powered by the CA30 amp, and I can really crank the volume and get no distortion or clipping.
The amp arrived packaged very well, and the product packaging was nice and professional. There was all the needed mounting hardware included in the box, along with the hex wrenches needed to hook up the wiring to the amp. The build quality of the amplifier seems very good, as it has a nice fit and finish. It is a very compact amplifier, but still has a fair bit of heft behind it.
The CA30 works really well with my setup, and it seems like it would work great to swap out the OEM speakers in any car with some decent aftermarket ones, and you would have a much better sounding audio system. I appreciate that this amplifier is surprisingly affordable as well. You don't have to spend thousands of dollars on making your car sound better, this amp and some decent aftermarket speakers for around $100 a pair would get you an excellent sounding audio setup that would rival much more expensive setups.
This amp would also work good in marine or motorcycle applications due to it's compact size, but you would need to be sure to keep it away from any water.
I would not hesitate to recommend this amplifier to anybody.

Very fast delivery and very good packaging

The supply chain has made just about everything more expensive. Yet, somehow it’s also allowed a multitude of electronics to become so cheaply assembled with questionable components, it’s hard to find the perfect balance of a name we can trust that has quality parts AND a fair price. You probably think that’s where this review ends, however - I feel guilty since this should be at least $225 and it would still be a bargain.
